Weather Challenge Doesn’t Stop an Action-Packed Night at Duck River Raceway Park
Duck River Raceway Park prepared for tough weather Saturday as rain and sleet approached Middle Tennessee. Gate times were moved earlier to maximize racing, and officials successfully completed all qualifying rounds and B-Mains before precipitation moved in.
The features started off with the Super Late Models, where Michael Page secured the $7,500 victory. The Front Wheel Drive division, sponsored by Bubba’s Bout Broke Podcast, followed with Ethan Johnson picking up the win.
The Factory Stock feature, sponsored by Floyd & Floyd Contractors, completed only three laps before sleet began falling at approximately 5 PM. Under caution, the field was pulled from the track to wait for improved conditions. Once the track was safe, officials moved forward with the 150-lap Enduro, which featured a strong 35-car field and slick surface early on. Allen Carter took home the victory and the $3,000 top prize.
Unfortunately, steady rain returned immediately after the Enduro, forcing cancellations of the remaining features. The remaining divisions were paid based on qualifying results, with Factory Stock paid according to where they would have restarted following the caution.
